Your wedding images are created with lasting legacy in mind. They should be printed in some way. Whether you purchase albums or prints through me or not, please just print them. Display them on your walls in your home. Paste them into a scrapbook. Frame one for your bedside table. Put one on your fridge or in your wallet. Keep your wedding album on your coffee table, and look at it often. There’s seriously nothing like feeling your images in your hands and flipping through the pages of your album together. They deserve a special place in your home, they deserve to be looked at often.

I’m proud to provide access to these albums for all of my clients and couples. These albums are printed and hand-bound in Canada by a small professional printing lab, so each purchase allows artists to keep doing what we love and provide you with tangible memories to pass down through the years. These albums are incredibly high in quality with the best materials possible, and the prices are reflective of that. I understand that this is an investment and that everyone has a different budget and expectation of what things cost. I do my best to make my albums accessible for everyone, so I do offer payment plans. If you’d like to know more, just let me know at the time of ordering!
how does the
design process work.
To begin the design process, I will open a selection from your wedding gallery to have you pick some of your favourite photos. I recommend to select photos from each portion of your wedding day (getting ready, first look, ceremony, etc.) This way, your album will be a more complete storybook of your day! Envision what you want your album to look like and think back on what your favourite moments of the day were. Choose one of the following design concepts for your album:
fine art minimalism
Features spread out designs with fewer (but larger) images with more visually interesting designs and use of negative space. Feels calming, with more emphasis on the most important moments and featuring your favourite images in an aesthetically pleasing way.
Recommended image selection: 45
scrapbook maximalism
Filling the pages with as much as possible with more, but smaller images so you don’t miss a moment.
Recommended image selection: 80-90
neutral
A mix of the two above designs with a medium amount of images
Recommended image selection: 50-65
artist’s choice
Not sure where to begin with your album design? No worries, I got you! I love designing albums with complete creative freedom (an artist’s dream). If you select this option, you just have to choose which type of album you’d prefer (standard or heirloom), your top 5 must-have images, and your maximum upgrade budget, and I’ll take it from there! With the upgrade budget, I’ll be able to use it towards extra spreads, additional text upgrades, material upgrades, or any other small details that will create an album that’s even more custom, something that will be completely unique to you. Don’t worry, nothing will be ordered without your approval! You’ll get an additional complimentary draft so that we can still alter anything that doesn’t make your heart sing. Or, you can choose to go all-in on the surprise aspect and just be blown away when it’s delivered!

The Process…
The above recommended numbers are estimates based off of 10 spreads/20 pages. Of course, keep in mind that you can have more photos with a minimalist design, you’ll just need to add more spreads to your album! If you want over 80 photos in your wedding album, I recommend purchasing additional spreads. This allows your photos to be a little larger on the page and have a more creative design with mindful flow, rather than just needed to fit all of the images inside in any way possible. Having more spreads keeps the images from looking too crowded, and means that some of your favourite images can be featured larger! If you want a feature image to take up one full spread, adding an additional spread for that would also be ideal.
I will send over two things: an album order form, to be filled out with all of your preferences and upgrades, and a prompt via your gallery to begin image selections for which images you’d like to have featured in your album!
Once you have your images selected, your order form filled out, I will get to work creating your first draft and get that sent over to you for review!
Next, if you have any adjustment requests, I will make those and send the second draft back to you. Please note that any adjustments you request can often result in a completely different spread. For example, I can’t directly swap a vertical image for a horizontal image without changing the layout completely. Because of this, any alterations past this first complimentary alteration are subject to an $85/draft redesign fee. I often need to re-design one or more spreads in order to make things fit each time you want a change made, and that can take time!
Once we’ve settled on a design you’re happy with, I will confirm all of the details with you. You’ll receive an invoice for the album and any additional upgrades, which will need to be paid for before your album is ordered. Once payment is complete, I’ll place your order for you!
All albums are handmade and bound here in Canada. Because of the handmade nature of the album, production times vary anywhere between 15-30 business days (not inclusive of shipping time). If you are considering placing the album order as a gift and need it to arrive by a certain date, please plan ahead. Rush fees (8-15 business days) can be added for $160 + GST. Since I have no control after the order is submitted, I do not guarantee shipping times, regardless of if the rush fee is added. If you’re based here in Edmonton, we’ll meet up again in person so I can deliver it to you in person! If you are currently living elsewhere, it will arrive directly to the shipping address you provide. Any shipments outside of Canada are subject to shipping fees.
If you are choosing to do an album for an engagement session or boudoir session,
the same considerations still tend to apply, just on a much smaller scale!
